We have a correction and additional information to post, which do not substantively change the forecast:
- It was previously reported that a physician in New Jersey, working in an area that was not effected by Sandy, was seeing a substantial increase in bronchitis and bacterial (influenza negative) pneumonia. This was an error. These patients were from Sayreville, New Jersey, which received flood damage and population displacement. Again, these patients were managed at the outpatient level with no admission required.
- We have received report of responders with upper respiratory symptoms, but no serious disease.
The forecast remains valid, however we continue to monitor the situation and will adjust the forecast as appropriate.
