Les Cayes, located in southwestern Haiti, did not experience damage from the earthquake as did Port-au-Prince. However, over this weekend 3,000 were evacuated to higher ground and 13 were killed due to heavy rainfall and flooding to a height of 5 feet. One hospital was forced to move 400 patients to higher floors because the ground floor was under water.
As discussed in prior posts, flooding does occur before hurricane season as part of the normal minor rainy season in Haiti, which begins in March.

I frankly hope that not repeat disaster from previous hurricanes.
