Several cases of suspected leptospirosis were reported at PAP General Hospital, reflective of clinical suspicion versus laboratory confirmation. Current environmental conditions are conducive for leptospirosis transmission in Haiti, particularly in flooded IDP camps with open refuse and contact with rodent infested waters. Leptospirosis is underreported in Haiti and is not assessed to be a disruptive agent.
